Please come and join us on Saturday 24th June 2016. It's sure to be another fantastic adventure where great memories and new friends are made, while raising vital funds to help cure colon cancer.
The 40TUDE London SUP Marathon is a long distance (approx 26 miles) mass paddle on the RIver Thames from Shepperton to Putney. The course combines tidal and non-tidal sections of the river passing through three locks and under 14 bridges while taking in some of the river's most picturesque sights, including Hampton Court, Syon House, Kew Gardens, Ham House and Richmond Hill. We plan to have a few Red Dragon four person boards for the event and the last mile or so will be a Red Dragon Race to Putney. More info on this great team event soon.
At the end of the day, we'll celebrate our achievements with a party at the finish in Putney.
Once again the 2016 40TUDE London SUP Marathon will be led by ACTIVE360 who can provide all the necessary equipment for the event and will be running a series of training sessions on the Thames beforehand so you can get a feel for the water and hone your paddleboarding skills. It's easy to learn the basics and most people can stand and paddle in a straight line within 30 minutes of starting. Paddleboarding is recognised as a great way to stay in shape - it gives you a total body workout that strengthens all of your core muscles. Training for this event consists of a rigorous programme of varied exercise and time spent on the board learning technique and safety.
As places are limited, please register early to avoid disappointment. Once again there are self funded and sponsored places for this year's paddle.
