40TUDE SUP Marathon Curing Colon Cancer
15th June 2019
This years SUP Marathon is a long distance (approx 26 miles) mass paddle on the River Thames from Walton to Putney. The course combines tidal and non-tidal sections of the river passing through three locks and under 14 bridges while taking in some of the river's most picturesque sights, inculding Hampton Court, Syon House, Kew Gardens, Ham House and Richmond Hill. At the end of the day, we will celebrate our achievements with a party at the finish in Putney.
We will provide all necessary equipment for the event and offer training sessions on the Thames beforehand so you can get a feel for the water and hone your paddleboarding skills. It's easy to learn the basics and most people can stand and paddle in a straight line within 30 minutes of starting. Preparation for this event consists of a programme of varied exercise and time spent on the board learning technique and safety.
Places for this event are limited so early registration is advised to avoid disappointment.
