'Paddle Pickers' Video - Highlighting plastic pollution in our rivers

23 January 2018

We were excited to be involved in the making of a moving film by student Beth Staley; highlights the issue of plastic pollution, both in the Thames and more generally.

Featuring an interview with Active360 founder Paul Hyman, the film explores the amount of plastic going into our rivers and oceans, and the environmental impacts - to both our waterways and our air  (as the plastic breaks down into dust particles) – and what we can do about it.

The film also contains interviews with Nick Anthony, co-founder of SEEK, and Severine Vasselin, founder of Watertrek. It’s great to hear the perspectives of different environmental organisations on the situation in the Thames, and further afield. Severine shares our passion for the role of SUP in better understanding and exploring solutions for this global issue.
